The Blue Mountains

Jenolan Caves

sunny 27 °C

Sunday morning I got the bus to the Jenolan Caves, a 2 hour drive onwards from Katoomba. I took a tour around Lucas Cave, one of 4 caves open to the public at Jenolan. It was awsome. In one cavern where the acoustics were fantastic, they played classical music and had a light display, which lit up the crystals and weird formations. Loads of history about when and how it came to be discovered, blah blah blah. Also passed the bones of a Wombat that were there when the caves were discoverd.

We shared lunch with the Parakeets. They've got so used to human interaction at Jenolan that they take food from your hand, but they take this as an invitation to help themselves from your plate too! Was funny to watch.

Then back to Katoomba to pick up the bus to Sydney. I didn't want to leave and will definatley go back to Mountains before I leave Sydney.
